About Us

As a mum of two children, Jo understands how important it is to encourage confidence that will not only help in class, but also provides skills to use in every day life.

Some of Jo's pupils have gone on to have huge success staring in the following West End Musicals: Matilda, Billy Elliot, In the Heights, The Wizard of Oz and in the tour of South Pacific.

Prior to Theatre Works Jo owned and ran a successful franchise of Stagecoach Theatre Arts School in Hertfordshire for over ten years.  She has worked as a theatrical agent for children, as a dance and drama teacher and spent 10 years working as a professional performer in shows both throughout the UK and internationally and on cruise ships.

Progress:

Twice a year you will be invited to come and watch a presentation of work and a show. You are always welcome to ask how your child is progressing at any point in the term. At the end of each year with Theatre Works each student will receive a certificate and a medal.

What We Believe

AT Theatre works we are UNITED IN our BELIEF THAT ALL CHILDREN:

  • Have the power to learn

  • Are curious & creative

  • Can succeed

No two students have exactly the same skills or learning style. That’s why we have created exciting lessons that combine direct instruction, creative group work, and lots of fun! At Theatre Works all students have the opportunity to shine.

We have a various classes of drama, dance and singing. The variety within our sessions keeps the children focused and enthused and after their stimulating classes they are alert and stretched mentally and physically.

Besides our regular Theatre Works teachers every term we will have various workshop leaders to come in and work with our students. These guest teachers are professionals in their field of expertise and will run exciting projects with our students.
